About T3 Technique
"It's not just about selling parts. It's about selling high quality parts and making sure the customer gets the kind of quality and service they expect." Christopher Schimke
Welcome to T3 Technique, where the pursuit of perfection never ends!
T3 Technique is the foremost retailer of performance Vanagon parts with a focus on wheel and tire fitments as well as suspension components. But there is definitely more to it than just wheels and suspension. While the basis of T3 Technique is providing quality wheel and suspension components for the Volkswagen Vanagon, the core of the company is founded on the principal of providing expert advice, forming relationships with customers, and supplying those customers with top quality parts and customer service. The pursuit of perfection does not end at the parts. It extends to every facet of the company.
T3 Technique the company was established in 2008, but the history and passion for the Volkswagen Vanagon goes back many years prior. Founder of T3 Technique, Christopher Schimke, has a long history with Volkswagen and a serious passion for the Vanagon.
"VWs are in my blood! My dad worked for Volkswagen for most of his career, and I was always exposed to the latest, greatest that Volkswagen had to offer. But it was the Buses that always captured my imagination. Through my dad's passion for raising us kids and VWs, I got to spend most weekends traveling and camping in a 1974 Westfalia camper and through his career with VW, getting to regularly ride in brand new Vanagons made lasting impressions. My first opportunity to drive a Vanagon for myself was in 1985 and I have been hooked ever since.
In 1987, I was asked to install a set of custom wheels onto a then new Vanagon. To say that this was a challenge would be an understatement. The customer wanted a set of new (at the time) Mercedes AMG wheels installed, but I wasn't quite sure how to make that happen, but through some trial and error, the wheels were successfully installed and the customer was extremely happy with the results. Upgrading Vanagons has been a passion ever since.
2006 is when the idea for T3 Technique the company was conceived. Seeing the trouble that people were having trying to fit a set of 15" or 16" Mercedes and Audi based wheels onto their vans prompted me to form a company that could help more Vanagon owners. Originally, the main goal of the company was to provide accurate and easy to understand information regarding these critical wheel fitments and supply quality, reliable parts to go along with that advice. In addition to the wheel parts, it quickly became apparent that there was also a need for high quality suspension parts. Over the years I have done my best to seek out the highest quality parts possible at reasonable prices. I'm constantly on the lookout for new, interesting, higher quality parts. If I can't find a part I'm looking for, whether it be due to low quality or it's simply not available, I will do my best to have that part manufactured. It's not just about selling parts. It's about selling high quality parts and making sure the customer gets the kind of quality and service they expect."
While the principals and goals that T3 Technique was founded on have not changed, the product line is ever expanding to now include Powerflex suspension bushings as well as many other unique items for the Vanagon. We are always on the lookout for new, innovative products and constantly coming up with new ideas for unique parts for your Vanagon, so keep an eye out for more exciting products in the near future.
